Eiko Kosasa, a third-generation Japanese settler (sansei),is a lecturer in political science and American studies at Leeward Community College. She is completing work on Predatory Politics: U.S. Imperialism, Settler States, and the Legitimacy of Injustice, a book based on her dissertation. Her recent article, "Ideological Images," is found in the anthology, Asian Settler Colonialism: From Local Governance to the Habits of Everyday Life in Hawaii (UH Press,2008).
